Mountain biking in the brecon beacons

Things to do

We are spoilt for choice for things to do in the local area and we are happy to arrange some activities for your stay. Here are a few suggestions:

Spend an afternoon book shopping in Hay on Wye, lose yourself in the dusty shelves of the world famous town for books.   For the bargain hunters among you there is excellent antique-ing in the nearby town of Leominster.  The historic market town of Ludlow is well worth a visit, home to its very own 11th century castle and famous for its food.   Test your haggling skills at the local car boot on a Sunday morning.  Horse riding in the Brecon Beacons is an amazing way to see some of most breathtaking landscapes in the country.   Hiking up Hay Bluff is guaranteed to heal the soul. Bring your walking boots and we’ll lend you a map!  Mountain biking through the black hills will make an afternoon tea taste better than you can imagine.  Sailing on Llangorse Lake is a great day out with the kids. Canoeing up the Wye River is a fantastic way to spend a summer’s afternoon.

If you enjoy walking, take a look at our guide to 'Local Walks in Herefordshire and The Wye Valley'. There are some amazing walks that suit all abilities in and around the area.
